NIFAM supports forecasting and improving factory workers’ access to safe vegetables in Hanoi, Vietnam
The NIFAM project has reached an exciting milestone. On July 16, Bac Hong Cooperative and Garment 10 Joint Stock Company (Garco 10) met with the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute (FAVRI) to make final steps for cooperation on setting up vegetable stands at Garco 10, aiming to help garment workers access safe vegetables.

HortiBonn at UNCCD Desertification & Drought Day “United4Land, Our Legacy, Our Future” in Bonn
The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) celebrated the Drought and Desertification Day and its 30th anniversary in Bonn, Germany on 17th June 2024. New publication - Tropical forest conversion to plantations increases below-canopy surface temperatures

New Research Alert- Exploring the risk of False Springs in The Netherlands
We are happy to announce the publication of a new research paper titled “False springs in the Netherlands - climate change impact assessment with the false spring damage indicator model,” which was just published in the journal “Regional Environmental Change”. With some support from HortiBonn’s Eike Luedeling, a team of students from Wageningen University, led by Joep Bosdijk, looked in to the past and projected occurrence of False Spring events in The Netherlands.
