My main research interest is creating sustainable production systems considering both environmental and economical metrics. For that, I work with life cycle optimization and decision analysis. As a systems engineer I love applying complex mathematical models to real world system design problems.
My PhD project is called Automating Managers and Simulating Robots and is part of the PhenoRob project Robotic Manipulation in Horticulture: From Pruning to Harvesting. Thus I am at the interface between the PhenoRob cluster of excellence and the decision analysis work at INRES Horticultural Science.
In my free time I cultivate microalgae for food.
