As the coordinator of the Horticultural Competence Centre KoGa, my role is to provide space for the cooperation of the KoGa partners: Bonn University, Service Centre for Rural Areas Rheinland-Pfalz, Jülich Research Center, Chamber of Agriculture NRW. I manage and coordinate several joint projects, which cover various aspects of horticulture, including modern production technology involving artificial intelligence, maintenance of biodiversity in fruit orchards and increasing the resilience against the effects of climate change in vegetables. Apart from this, I maintain a strong interest in horticultural research for development and sustainable food systems.
